James Kessinger
When asked how he manages to create such works of beauty with virtually no sight, he responds with "I'm a bit like the old Kentucky fellow who makes dulcimers" claiming he starts with a piece of wood and cuts away everything that's not a dulcimer. That is a quote from James Kessinger's website. This legally blind artist has been creating inspiring original paintings for the last thirty years. He is scheduled to be featured on a nationally televised upcoming morning talkshow. Each week AAN will feature new original works by this artist.| View All Artwork | | | View In Stock |

Dana Queen
Dana Queen has a love for nature that has forever found expression through her art. Inspired by the tropical seas of Hawaii and the South Pacific, Dana Queen paints an Environment filled with an aesthetic charm both above and below the turquoise water. Dana's desire is to capture those magical moments in Nature that can be so fleeting. Her ability to do so is what has established her as an Internationally collected Artist. Dana states," To travel the earth and see, is a gift. To travel the earth and learn, is knowledge. To travel the earth and Paint, is a dream come true." Through many years of painting along side renown surrealist, John Pitre, who himself studied at the world famous Art Student League in New York, Dana developed the Classical Old Masters technique of oil painting. "The intent of my art is to raise the spiritual consciousness of the world to the beauty of our planet. "To know her is to accept her sincerity without question. The beauty she sees all around her transmits onto canvas is mirrored by the beauty within her soul. She loves nature, dolphins, the beauty of our planet, and wants nothing more than to play as large a part as she possibly can in it's preservation.| View All Artwork | | | View In Stock |

Caroline Young
In classical Oriental painting, artists approach their work the way pianists in the West might approach the existing compositions of the great masters. Each new painting was a performance that the artist rehearsed for by practicing the performance of earlier painters. Contemporary artist Caroline Young took that wisdom to heart. Her delicate watercolors on silk pay homage to classical Chinese technique called the "delicate style," and the lessons she learned from her mentor, Lam Oi Char. Each is a virtuoso celebration. Says writer Larry V. Ledoux about Caroline Young. "Her work is soft, serene and subtle. Superbly painted. Fascinating. Even compelling. They appeal to our sensitivity for beauty, to our love for a good story, to our curiosity about those who came before us, those who grew old in cultures older than our own. Given this, Ms. Young's growing national success is not surprising. Young's works are collected all over the world, from England to Singapore, Hong Ko ng to Australia. She is also in the permanent collection of the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, and the Pacific Asia Museum in Pasadena.| View All Artwork | | | View In Stock | | |

Leonardo Zhang
Leonardo G. Zhang received his educaton at the Glasgow University, Scotland in fine art with an emphasis on interior design. After graduation he quickly became a successful interior designer. While working as an interior designer, he developed his love for interior painting to cityscape, landscape and still life painting. He has widely exhibited in the United Kingdom and other European countries including Austria, France, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Norway, and Swiss. Leonardo G. Zhangs distinctive painting style has created a high demand for his works, attracting high-profile collectors such as former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, who now owns several of his paintings. Leonardo G. Zhang is one of the highly influential artists in Fantasy and Surrealism style paintings. Under the influence of Rembrandt and Dali, Leonardo G. Zhang has merged realism and surrealism painting styles and developed the unique style of Realistic Fantasy. His Realistic Fantasy style blurs the bound ary between fantasy and reality by making fantasy extremely realistic. He believes that an artists unique responsibility is not to simply recreate the reality, but to artistically construct an inspiring reality that is above and beyond the existing reality seen. With expressive use of rich, primary colors, Leonardo G. Zhang has created an exceptional style that is visually pleasing, undeniably unique, and has tremendous universal appeal. His precise lines and perfectly smooth colors make each of his paintings a flawless masterpiece. Leonardo G. Zhangs Realistic Fantasy painting has the power to take your mind to a higher level of serenity and relaxation.| View All Artwork | | | View In Stock |

Raphael Soyer
He attended classes at Cooper Union and at the National Academy of Design. Guy Pene du Bois, a teacher at the Art Students League, recognized his talent and introduced him to Charles Daniel, who gave him his first solo exhibition in 1929. The success of this event secured his position as a professional artist. The experience of immigrant life in the United States provided him with a rich source of imagery for his art, which was sensitive, penetrating portrayals including transients, shoppers, dancers, and fellow artists. Near his studio in Manhattans Lower East Side he observed his fellow New Yorkers. His subjects were portrayed with strong, flat colors, which evoked a sense of isolation. Common themes were intimate studies of solitary women, often nudes, and portraits of fellow artists, reflecting his great affection and admiration for them. Soyers most frequent model was himself, often posed with pencil or brush in hand, as in Self-Portrait ca. 1927, and his work was mainly in oil and lithography. He did not accept commissions for portraits because his interest was with the private person and the effects of the modern world on the psyche, rather than a public facade. Artists he admired, such as Rembrandt, Degas, and Eakins, he felt were dedicated to showing their times truthfully, and emphasized inner character more than physical beauty. Both of Soyers brothers, Moses and Isaac, were also artists. With his identical twin Moses, he painted murals for the post office in Kingessing, Pennsylvania. He also taught at the Art Students League. He was a co-founder of Reality magazine and champion of Realism at a time when Abstract Expressionism dominated the American art scene. The Depressions economic difficulties could be seen in his subjects, and unemployed men caught Soyers eye. Women at work became a theme with Soyer after 1940. On November 4, 1987, he died in New York.| View All Artwork | | | View In Stock |

Urbain Huchet
URBAIN HUCHET was born in Rennes on April 28,1930. After studying law and owning a textile factory for four years, he decided in 1960 to devote himself entirely to painting. Mr Huchet spent his first three years as an artist in Pont-Aven, following in the footsteps of Gauguin and Emile Bernard, both of whom influenced him a great deal. He does many paintings of the landscape and the typical people this region. His love of the Brittany coast and the sea can always be seen in his work. After moving to Paris in 1963, his love of adventure and travel led him to spend time painting and writing in Europe, the Middle East, and South America, where he produced many paintings of the Indian markets and the great scenery. He made 14 trips of more than 4 months each, from Mexico to Brazil via Peru, Central America and the Caribbean Islands. In addition to the paintings, he has written a book about these beautiful countries. A luxurious portfolio of paintings of Egypt shows his love of that country. Urbain Huchet has held exhibitions in New York, London and New Orleans, and several in Egypt. However, Paris is where his largest number of works have been produced. At least 300 editions of lithographs have been printed of his works, all produced by the artist himself in different workshops in Paris and Cannes. His "nature de Breton" and his love of the sea and ships have inspired numerous editions of lithographs and works of the sea.| View All Artwork | | | View In Stock |
